South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) regularly seeks feedback, comments and suggestions on a range of health care topics and activities via the Put it to the People (external link) platform and we'd love to hear from you!

Sign up to become a member of the platform and select your areas of interest and choose your level of involvement, ranging from simply being informed to participating in service redesign. You can also select to be kept up to date on the topics that matter to you, with updates delivered direct to your inbox.

The insights collected from the platform are used to improve the health care services that we provide. It is a great way for you to come together as part of an online community and share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions, from the comfort of your own home.

Currently, we're inviting your comments and feedback to help us to develop the next SMHS Consumer and Carer Engagement Strategy (external link).

You can have your say by participating in an in-person session or by completing a short online survey or a quick poll.

To have your say, visit the SMHS Consumer and Carer Engagement Strategy page (external link).

The SMHS Executive Director Safety, Quality and Consumer Engagement, Dr Maxine Wardrop said how important it is for community members to share their thoughts and experiences.

"Building strong partnerships with our stakeholders is a strategic priority for SMHS, and initiatives like this help us to plan, evaluate and improve care across our hospital and community-based services," Maxine said.

"We are continually looking for ways to better understand the diverse needs of our community and Put it to the People will help us do just that. The added benefit for the community being that they can participate from the comfort of their own home.

"I encourage anyone with an interest in health care to join as a member and become part of our online community and be the first in the know."

SMHS recently relaunched the website with an improved look and feel. If this is of interest to you, or someone you know, get involved via Put it to the People (external link) today and make your opinion count.
